Your Data Stays on Your Device
All notes, titles, and attached photos are stored locally in a private database on your device. We have no servers and no way to access your notes.
- Never uploaded to any server
- Never shared with third parties
- Deleted when you uninstall the app
- Note text is eligible for Google's automatic device backup — attached photos are excluded from backup
Permissions
Gallery photos are selected via the Android system photo picker — no storage permission needed.
Photos are saved to your device only. We never upload, process, or share them.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand general usage patterns — things like session length and screen views — so we can improve the app over time.
It may collect:
- Device model and OS version
- App version
- General location (country / region)
- Session duration and usage patterns
Your note content is never sent to Firebase. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Google AdMob
sNotes shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (resettable in your device settings)
- Device information
- General location (country / region)
- Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
You can opt out of personalised ads under Settings → Privacy → Ads on your device. See Google's Advertising Policies.
Children's Privacy
sNotes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and shared personal information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to check back periodically.
