Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Stitch Organizer mobile app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
Your content
You are responsible for the projects, notes, photos, and other content you create in the app. This content is stored locally on your device. You retain all rights to your content; we claim no ownership of it.
A file you submit to Pattern Import is sent to us and to our AI provider so it can be read. You keep all rights to it; we claim none, and we do not use it to train any model. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to it and for how long.
Pro and fair use
Some features are paid. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, and any refund is theirs to grant.
- Pro Yearly is the only paid plan. It unlocks the app's Pro features and includes Pattern Import while the subscription is active. It renews every year until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Pattern Import on Pro is unlimited, subject to fair use. Reasonable limits keep the service running for everyone, and ordinary use does not reach them. If you do reach one, the app tells you when you can import again. We may adjust these limits, and reinstalling the app or changing device does not reset them.
- One active device. Pro can be active on one device at a time. Restoring your purchase on another device transfers access to it, and the previous device returns to the free plan.
- The free plan includes one Pattern Import per installation, to try the feature.
Pattern Import
Pattern Import uses AI to read a file you choose and suggest the details it finds.
- It is assistance, not a guarantee. The result is a suggestion for you to review and correct before anything is saved. Some patterns will be read well, some partly, and some not at all, for example a chart with no colour key. We do not warrant that any particular pattern can be read or that a result is accurate.
- With Pro, an import counts when a result is produced for you to review, whether or not you go on to save it. If we cannot read the file, or the run fails on our side, it does not count.
- The free import is used once your file is read. It is not used if we find no floss list in the file, if we cannot open it, or if our service is unavailable.
- Upload only what you are entitled to. You confirm you have the right to process any pattern you upload. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use.
- We may apply reasonable limits, and may suspend the feature if it is being abused or if operating it becomes impractical.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app except where permitted by law.
- Do not use the app in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
- Do not attempt to obtain Pattern Imports other than by the means the app provides, do not try to get around the fair-use limits, and do not automate or resell access to the feature.
Data and backups
Your data is stored on your device. Uninstalling the app or losing your device will delete your data. We are not responsible for maintaining or recovering your content, so please back up anything important separately.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate (including floss codes, colors, or conversions, which are provided for convenience only).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
